In 2015, Paul McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shevell, picked up a spectacular duplex penthouse at 1045 Fifth Avenue for about $13.97 million. The aerie sat atop a 15-story building and looked straight over Central Park. Floor-to-ceiling glass wrapped the 10-room layout, while a sweeping marble staircase linked the levels. Gold-trimmed baths and a glittering crystal chandelier dialed up the mid-century glamour. The vibe was elegant yet relaxed. In 2022 they sold the residence as the market shifted.
